Thoughts for January - February

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.

I had to spend Christmas and New Year on an oil rig, but I was able to visit a friend in the Pacific Northwest over the Thanksgiving holiday. The temperate rainforests are stunningly beautiful, and the rugged coastline remains wild all the way North to Alaska.

But there is more good news, and I've waited a long time to say this: I am in the process of leaving the Red River Valley for good. I am looking for a new place to call home in northern Minnesota, and it's a perfect time to start living "off the grid."
